Abstract

The Sarcocystiosis, is a parasitic disease of high incidence in llamas which causes economics' forfeiture, the presentwork of investigation tries to valídate the vaccine SARCOVAC in the prevention of the Sarcocystiosis, with the main aim of evaluating a sample of baby's llama of 15 days of age. Being immunized with 1ml in the first and the second week of age, the sanguineous evaluation was divided in 6 stages until the 150 days, in each sampling was extracted 2 - 3 mi. of each animal, with the purpose of to observe the production of antibody in the vaccinated animal and animal no vaccinated.The production of antibodies found its máximum to the 60 days reaching 0,85 (D.O.) in animal vaccinated 0,59 (D.O); animal no vaccinated and was its mínimum to the 150 days and 0,27 (D.O); in animal vaccinated 0,22 (D.O.) in animal no vaccinated closely to the point of cut 0,20 (D.O.) majors to this point of cut are positive and smaller to this point they are negative. Later to 2 years the gold's test for the diagnosis was realized with the observation of the presence of Sarcocystiosis in the "carcasa" of the vaccinated animal and the no vaccinated animal in which was found some cysts. Sarcocystiosis in vaccinated llamas, whereas the no vaccinated animáis were not presented any cyst. To indícate that the handling and the environment differ in the different zones, being those influential factors in the incidence of the Sarcocystiosis in group of llamas
