    SUMMARY Toxoplasmosis is the most widespread an-thropozoonosis worldwide 25% to 70% of the population have antibodies against toxoplasma gondii, when infecting it has serious con-sequences in the product of the pregnancy of a pregnant woman and in those immunosup-pressed people. Objective: To determine the prevalence of toxoplasmosis in pregnant women who received care at the Obstetrician Gynecology Hospital during the period of January - April 2017 Design: Quantitative approach; the study is of observational type with a level of descriptive study retrospective longitudinal directionality Place and context: Obstetric gynecological "Dr. Jaime Sanchez Porcel" hospital of the third level of the department of Chuquisaca Bolivia. Patients or participants: We reviewed clinical records of pregnant women reactive to toxoplasmosis of the gynecological obstetric hospital of Sucre from the month of January - April of the year 2017. Results: Of 1758 pregnant women who were treated in the months of January - April 2017, 1596 pregnant women were tested for toxoplasmosis with H.A.I. Toxo test, of which 158 were reactive, 1438 were not reactive and 152 were not made the laboratory test. Of the four months in which the study was con-ducted, in the month of April there was a greater number of reactive patients with 50 pregnant women and the month of March with the lowest number of 27 reactive patients. Conclusions: The prevalence of toxoplasmosis in the months of January - April in 1956 pregnant women who performed the serological test, 158 were reactive.
