SUMMARY Hepatitis B is a worldwide problem that causes millions of deaths per year. That is why this article aims to assess the level of knowledge that the personnel in charge of child care in the university nursery has about the hepatitis B virus. A total of 19 people participated who are part of the staff of the university nursery in 2017. A questionnaire was applied and it was possible to determine the level of knowledge they have about this disease. After the data analysis the working group. It was possible to demonstrate the shortcomings that the kindergarten presents in terms of knowledge of this subject, being that only 68% of the total staff have a vague knowledge about the subject and 32% of the personnel has no knowledge.
