SUMMARY In the San José Hospital of the municipality of Culpina, an observational cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted with the objective of identifying the risk factors presented by pregnant women interned with threatened abortion and premature delivery, in the gynecology-obstetrics service during the months from January to March ofthe 2017 management. We worked with a total of 12 hospitalized patients with threatened abortion and premature delivery. According to the study carried out, the most relevant sociodemographic characteristics are the age group since the incidence in threats of abortion and premature birth was between 30-34 years of age (5 pregnant women), followed by the age group of 15-19 years of age (3 women) and the occupation where it was observed was in the pregnant population of housewives. The most relevant risk factors that occurred in pregnant women interned with threatened abortion and premature delivery correspond to low urinary infection and mixed bacterial vaginosis, which occurred in 5 pregnant women. The study provides quantitative information about the pathology, as well as allows to identify the diversity of problems during the period of admission and the permanence in the service and also to put into knowledge risk factors of a threat of abortion and premature birth in pregnant mothers.
