SUMMARY The objective of this study is to determine the prevalence of abortion in women aged 15 to 45 years who were assisted in the "San Lucas" hospital in the Municipality of San Lucas between May and November of 2016, associated with age. , degree of instruction and prenatal check-ups. Material and Methods: This study is descriptive, transversal, quantitative. The sample size that was taken into account was 35 pregnant women aged 15 to 45 years who were assisted in the Gynecology Service with a diagnosis of abortion at the Hospital de San Lucas, out of a total population of 91 pregnant women. The information is obtained by collecting data from the medical records. Results: The prevalence of abortion in women aged 15 to 45 years who were assisted in the Hospital of "San Lucas" in the Municipality of San Lucas between the months of May to November 2016 is high (38.5%), This could end in maternal death due to the little concern of women, especially of communities and women with stable union, where it was observed that there is a higher prevalence of abortion.
