Summary Introduction: Dengue disease has reemerged in the American continent and especially in our Bolivian territory, it is important to update our knowledge about the evolution that has taken place within the evolution of the vector and especially the responsible microorganisms, due to the magnitude of cases that have been diagnosed in health services. Method: A bibliographic search of documents was carried out through Virtual Health Libraries in search of published and indexed research in: Scielo Bolivia, Bolivian Scientific Journals, and others where information of primary, secondary and tertiary sources has been considered. Different equations of words and key terms were used. The documents found will allow to update important aspects on the theme of Dengue in the different areas. Development and Discussion: The Biomedical Sciences are increasingly taking the support especially in the diagnosis and treatment of Dengue, supporting the process of clinical and epidemiological diagnosis, enhancing the way to better contain this type of disease. Conclusion: The way to treat this pathology is increasingly strengthened by understanding the natural history of the disease and complementing it with the biomedical sciences for the benefit of the people who live in our communities.
