SUMMARY: The states of hypertension in pregnancy are one of the major complications and greater impact on maternal and child health. Are one of the most important reasons for consultation in high-risk units, the first cause of morbidity and fetal and maternal mortality with a global incidence of 1 to 10% The clinical case of a pregnant woman with hypertensive encephalopathy secondary to eclampsia complicated with bilateral amaurosis, a rare complication and if the patient has been the subject of consultation described.
