Summary We know that Chagas disease has a high prevalence of T. cruzy (kissing bug) in housing communities, the same that are of great concern to the municipal authorities and health, thus was born the needforthis literature review to update some concepts about the disease and diagnosis according HAI Chagas at the time of pregnancy, these being the highest risk for congenital Chagas. Since the control of Chagas disease depends largely on strategies of prevention and early detection programs, such as information campaigns and programs on population screening laboratory. For all this is intended to provide this paper with reference data for further studies.
