Summary This research aims to determine the trends of Public Health "curriculum" of Medical Careers in the XXI century, facing new competitive challenges of the universities. The research is quantitative approach, descriptive, observational and transversal. For the study are taken into account in the analysis of Curriculum, nationwide medical schools of San Francisco Xavier de Chuquisaca, San Andrés in La Paz and San Simon in Cochabamba; for trends in other medical schools outside the country, are taken into account the Faculties of Medicine, University of Chile, the University of Cordoba in Argentina and San Marcos in Lima - Peru. Of the total number of hours that each medical school has, we note that nationwide use between 84 and 89% of the total hours in clinical-surgical subjects; has the greatest workload in this group of subjects is San Francisco Xavier. Of the total number of hours that each medical school has, we note that use between 10 and 15% of the total hours in subjects of Public Health; which has a lower workload in this group of subjects is San Francisco Xavier; the San Simon in Cochabamba used for this group of subjects 50% more hours compared to Sucre.
