This malformation of FLAP (alveolar cleft lip palate), we see that is very common in our country, calling the attention is not valued and the multi and interdisciplinary patient. We also see that most of these patients are rated us by dentists, not being just an orthopedic preoperative treatment, directly undergoing surgery. For a newborn child, male gender, origin Sucre, at the University Hospital, valued at Neonatology, which together with the Service of Maxillofacial Surgery and Dentistry led to the diagnosis of cleft Unilateral transforamen incisor, proposing an initial treatment with presents Bracing plate. We are convinced that every child born with FLAP should be evaluated by a dentist (dentist), to propose a treatment orthopedic (applying Bracing plate).
