Introduction. Inadequate knowledge about the correct handling of Return and Referral System, provides no benefit to the patient when making such a reference. So knowing whetheryou are meeting the standards is crucial to forewarn the patient transfers. Objective. To determine whether the reference system and counter Hospital San Pablo de Huacareta meet the "national standard reference and feedback" (Ministerial Resolution No. 1036). Material and methods. The focus of this study is quantitative, observational, descriptive and transversal. The population consists of all records relating to patients and contrareferidos different centers of greater complexity in the aforementioned period, with number 118 according to the reference book Health Service. Results. Itwasobserved thatall ofthe referencesare made effectively, there is good resolution capacity are few cases of pregnancy complications and injuries which follow this path; however the return system shows many weaknesses especially services of greater complexity to those found in the municipalities. Discussion. You must work in a more responsible way those services especially in the return (filling forms), taking into account not violate the rights of patients and their health and integrity precautionary and not incur forensic processes.
