The most common are bacterial vaginosis, nationally the most prevalentis caused by the fungus Candida albicans, the common habitat is the vagina. The aim of thisstudy was to determine the prevalence of vaginal candidiasis and associated factors inwomen of childbearing ageingynecologyhealthcenterin the municipality ofSanJorgeZudáñezin the monthsfrom October to November2012. The study populationwasninetyfemalepatientsof childbearing agewhowere treated at thehealthcenter,usingthenotebookgyn ecologyandmedical records.48 of whichwereinthepresenceof the agent; vaginalCandida, represented53.33%, therefore the remaining erestudiedasvaginosisdiagnosed23.33%, 10.00%Trichomonas, syphilis333%, 4,44% Gonorrhoea, Chlamydia3.33% anda lower percentage of2%corresponded togenitalherpesinfection. Wereconsidered predisposing factorforCandidainfection, theassociated factors inwomen of childbearing age, by age (34-39 yearscategory), by educational level(Illiterate category), by Marital Status(Stable Union) byNumber of Children(women with 5 children), by origin(people areliving in thevillagecenterZudáñez), according toUseof contraception(women who use nocontraception).
