The research was quantitative, descriptive-crosssectional, performedin orderto obtain statistical data that reflect the management of mental disorders in the field of Liaison Psychiatry, at the Hospital Santa Barbara. The source of informatión was data records of the Hospital Santa Barbara, having a total un iverse 319 patients with mental disorders treated at this hospital. The results shows that the most frequent cause of consultation in the mental health service were Depressive Disorders, followed byAnxietyDisorders, being the predominant population men between 21 and 59 years. The main conclusion ofthe research makes clearthat the Liaison Psychiatry emerged as a subspecialty of great support for regular work in clinical practice
