SOTO RAMIREZ,, REYNALDO²  e  AGUIRRE ROJAS, RICHARD³. Uso de enzimas en la alimentacion de Pollos Parrilleros1. Univ. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2012, n.6, pp. 53-58. ISSN 8888-8888.

Pilot testing was conducted in the sheds of «San Bernardo» Poultry Farm in order to evaluate the effect of two com-mercial enzymes, incorporating them into the diet of broiler chicken production, to quantify the variables of food intake, body weight gain, feeding conversion and mortality due to the use of enzymes and to compare feeding costs by using enzymes on the basis of commercial food. The treatments evaluated in this study correspond to 2 commercial enzymes (Alquerzim A and Alquerzim Aviar) mixed in chicken food, and a control without enzyme with 5 repetitions, under a completely randomized experimental design. The inclusion of the enzyme complex used in this study during the first weeks of life of the chicken, showed a normal effect on body weight and feed conversion; while in the last three weeks, it increased more weight maintaining this trend, but statistically significantly different between treatments. Alquerzim Aviar treatment obtained a weight of 2.464 kg and feed conversion of 2.05, which means that 2.05 kg / food are needed to convert 1 kg of live weight. Afterwards, the treatment Alquerzim A obtained 2.403 kg of live weight and feed conversion of 2.13, and finally the control treatment reached a live weight of 2.347 kg and a conversion of 2.25. Alquerzim Aviar treatment was more profitable due to its biological efficiency, its relatively low cost and its greater money return.
