Today, many people are looking to have more attractive facial features, so that they demand for cosmetic surgery has increased, all to improve the aesthetic appearance of these people seeking the appropriate proportion oftheir facial features. One of the most requested surgeries, is on the chin, because the its form is given mainly by the lower jaw, becoming a determining bone structure in the aesthetic balance, projection and overall appearance of the face. Abnormalities of the chin can be very diverse, in which variations occur both in volume and in position, for example microgeny and progeny, being one of the most frequent abnormalities chin. So, to correct these anomalies are used to practice plástic surgery, in which the deformity is evaluated to determine the correct placement of an implant or reduction of mandibular bone. Thus, the chin is an important element of the facial profile and surgical procedures performed in this área are part of the regular work of cosmetic surgery
