ABSTRACT Introduction: The appearance of staph infections is a problem of growing importance because this pathogen has a high plasticity in the development of strains with new properties virulence and antibiotic resistance. Moreover are able to live in extreme drying heat and high salt content and low oxygen tension. Case report: Presents the case of a 6 year old with symptoms of osteomyelitis complicated with necrotizing pneumonia which was confirmed by X-ray imaging studies, CT and bone scintigraphy.
