In the development of this article considers the basic characteristics of 3D printers and their influence in various fields of industry. These printers are machines capable of performing 3-dimensional impressions following a computer model. 3D printing starts with the design software, then the data is sent to the printer that shapes and solidifies the 3D object. The printing process uses seven methods considered in this article. 3D printing has many advantages in various fields such as health, industry, construction and other fields which greatly benefit society in general, but as happened with television and the recent Smartphone, involve issues of social, economic and moral on its use will affect the whole of humanity.
