    Resumen

PERES-CAJIAS, Guadalupe. Can we still talk about a Latin American Communicational Thought?: Critical analysis of theorical and methodological development in our field. J. Com. Soc. [online]. 2015, vol.3, n.3, pp. 65-80. ISSN 2412-5733.

Today, we still talk about a Latin American Communication School and we debate about what it means and who we are. However, we have not solved basic issues that concern to any School such as: a clear definition of our object(s) of study, the production of knowledge and the development of appropriate methodological strategies for our context. To back up this idea, we will review the course of three challenges proposed in 1977, during the Communication Research Seminar, and recalled by Luis Ramiro Beltrán in the text "State and perspectives of Social Communication Research in Latin America".

Palabras llave : Communication School; Latin America; Beltrán; Social Theory; Methodological Strategies.
