Abstract

Tourist Potential of the Rural Municipality of Portachuelo is studied to meet the expectations of tourists visiting this town and consequently to improve the quality of life of the population. Portachuelo is a place known for its typical pastries: baked, blancmange, homemade jams and of course for its local food. Moreover, it has not lost its customs and traditions, especially on the anniversary of the population which is on December 8. Tourism concepts that are related to rural tourism, tourism promotional strategies and tourism planning are displayed. It is obtained information about hosting places, services quality reasons for visiting the place. Analyzed by SWOT strategic guidelines arise for innovative rural tourism destination
