Abstract

MUCARZEL MORENO, MARCO ANTONIO  and  AGUIRRE ROJAS, RICHARD JOHNNY. Comparación de dos tipos de formulación de alimento balanceado en la cría de patos línea cherryvalley. Univ. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2013, n.11, pp. 31-41. ISSN 8888-8888.

The effect of the corn based balanced food is evaluated, compared to a food sorghum based; using the same animal requirements; deter-mining and quantifying consumption variables, body weight gain, feed conversion and mortality rates between treatments, because of the use of the two feeds. It is set by comparing the differences in feed costs of food used. There were used 600 baby ducks from line Cherry Valley which were divided into two groups of 300 each. They were evaluated in three steps: Start (1-21 days), development (22 to 35 days) and Final (36 to 56 days). The results indicate a low feed intake in treatment with sorghum and higher intake of corn food treatment in the three stages of ducks production. Economic analysis shows that treatment 1 corn based food had an economic gain of Bs 8.83 more per duck produced on treatment 2, with sorghum.
