Abstract
VARGAS VALLEJOS, JEAN PAUL and NAKAMURA KINA, JORGE. Trabajo propioceptivo para la prevencion de lesiones deportivas en futbolistas1 (Club Blooming, Santa Cruz, año 2009). Univ. Cienc. Soc. [online]. 2012, n.7, pp. 27-33. ISSN 8888-8888.
The importance of proprioceptive work to decrease the incidence of sports injuries is demonstrated in this paper. The sports injury with the wide variety of effects that causes the athlete has to be approached from different points of view, not only taking into account their treatment and rehabilitation, but perhaps even more important, its prevention. The protocol proposed proprioceptive work also increases the performance in training strength, speed, or flexibility. Pro-prioception to regain neuromuscular control restores impaired neurological function, conditions the muscles to prevent injury, increases the postural and movement accuracy, and increases the consistency with which these activities can be performed safely and with greater performance. Proprioception protocol applied in Blooming Soccer Club has reduced the incidence of sports injuries by 20.5% and 37.2% over 2007 and 2008 respectively. Based on comparison between experimental and control groups it was demonstrated better performance of the athletes who performed a routine work of proprioception.
