Abstract

In order to identify risk factors for hypertension in visitors to the Science Fair of UCEBOL in September 2008, conducting a cross-sectional study in a sample of 300 people over age 15 who are making the measurement blood pressure and subjected to a questionnaire that collects information on risk factors in relation to hypertension. The 78.7% of respondents are in the range of 15 to 29 years of age, while 20.3% is over 30 years. The findings are suggestive for age. Found that 9% of those surveyed suffer from some degree of rising blood pressure, results that coincide with other similar research statistics. Snuff addiction has been found in 11.3% of the people associated with sedentary lifestyle (53%) and obesity (10.3%). We have also found that 1% of the studied figures accused compatible with low blood pressure, also associated with lifestyle.
