    Abstract

    Highlights the emergence of the grouping "Gesta Barbara" of Potosí (1918), organized by prominent intellectuals such as Carlos Medinaceli, Gamaliel Churata, José Enrique Viaña, Armando Alba, and the influence of the second generation in La Paz (1944) (with Beatrice Schulze Arana, Valentín Abecia, Gustavo Medinaceli and others), and particularly in Tupiza (1951), by the young teacher Hugo Molina Viaña, this literary and artistic movement, "Gesta Barbara" of Tupiza is accentuated the series of activities, as a tribute to Carlos Medinaceli (1951), particularly the first poetry contest (October 10,1951), the publication of the literary papers and the Anthem of Tupiza (September 8, 1951), composition by Hugo Molina Viaña lyrics and the music of Luis Yáñez Gonzales.
