ABSTRAC TIn this work they took very important data to know about the suicide, from different aspects like: psychological, legal and especially the medica! aspect to be able to guide the sequence of steps of the investigation on a fixed direction. The main objective was to know the decisive factor that takes to the suicide, in the inhabitants of the city of Oruro among 11 to 55 years, their motivations and/or causes, the mechanisms, the ages and more frequent sex. The Universe is represented by the number of registrations of suicides in the city of ORURO among the ages from 11 to 55 years, during theadministration 1998 at the 2003. The present work is quantitative, retrospective, traverse and descriptive. The investigation area is the registrations of the Judicial Technical Pólice. The quantity of registered suicides is of 163 among the administrations from 1998 to the 2003 and most for sentimental causes and among the ages of 21 to 30 years, being more common in males is also mostly used the mechanism of the hanging.
